Music Video Project: Evaluation Blog Post #11 - CCR #3

CCR #3

How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

CCR #3: Hello, my name is Ryan Jurdi, and this is my answer to CCR #3 and to be creative with this CCR I will be doing a jumping jack every time I say production. My production skills gradually improved throughout the creation of my music video. The first major improvement was fixing how shaky my hand was. Through most or pretty much all of the early footage I gathered, it was shaky because I was recording on my iPhone without any added modifications. Turns out the way I was holding my phone the entire time was wrong. After experimenting with ways to hold my phone I finally found the best way to do it, and it worked tremendously. There may be some shake to the footage, but it was reduced greatly. The second major way my production skills developed was my acting. Yes, my acting is still terrible and not even leagues close to the likes of A-list actors, but I still feel as if my acting gradually improved. Especially how I moved since I felt at first, I was pretty stiff in any acting that had to deal with any sort of motion. For example, the scene where I had to throw my phone to the sideThe first time I recorded that scene I awkwardly put the phone which to no one's surprise looked pretty bad, so I decided to keep changing until I got a good enough scene which helped me improve my acting skills by a good margin. Another way my developing skills improved was my planning skills. In the first commercial project believe I planned using the story board well but not good enough since I had to chang some scenes that I previously planned on doing. In this project, the first draft that I had developed with my story board was the one I used throughout recording my footage, which shows that my planning skills greatly improvedAnother way my production skills developed was through the use of Cap Cutwhich was the editing software I used for every video that needed editing. One way it improved was, well, my editing skills. I started using video effects like the fade in black effect for when I fell asleep to transition to the next scene which usually was me waking up. Speaking of transitioning to the next scene, another way my editing skills increased was through my trims of scenes. For example, I sometimes would trim too much or too little, but I think in this project my trims were slightly improving to the perfect amount
