Music Video Project: Evaluation Blog Post #10 - CCR #2
CCR #2:
How does your product engage with audiences, and how would it be distributed as a real media text?
CCR #2: Hello, my name is Ryan Jurdi, and this is my answer to CCR #2 and to be creative with this CCR I will be jumping after every time I say audience (jump) in this CCR. Now let’s discuss how my product engages with my audience (jump). The major way is through the main idea of my music video, which is laziness. This engages the audience (jump) since it is relatable. Everyone on this planet or at least the audience (jump) that I am targeting, which is gen Z, understands that we all encounter a wave of laziness sometimes. Another way the audience (jump) would be engaged with my product is with the various scenes or actions that I do throughout the music video. One example is the very first scene where I wake up from sleeping and go right back to sleep which should immediately grab any Gen Z’s attention since we all do this, especially on the weekend when we’re free. Another scene that would hook the audience (jump) is the one where I threw my old phone to the side since I know every young person that has a phone, definitely ignored a person that was trying to call or text them once in their life. A third scene that surely engages the audience (jump) is the scene where I was lying on the couch comfortably with the pillow and blanket. Even though this scene does seem boring, I think it still captures Gen Zs' attention since the days where that scenario is achievable usually end up being the best or most relaxing days. A fourth way, a scene in my music video engaged audiences (jump) tuning into my music video is the two scenes where I started to comb my hair but stopped which then transitioned into my pajamas being on and falling right into bed to sleep again. This has a great effect on audiences (jump) because we have all made plans that don’t work out and usually if it fails then we go straight back to bed especially if it is something early in the morning.
Regarding how my music video would be distributed as a real media text, I think it would most likely show up in a high school or college movie. I think it would since usually teenagers or college students are the most likely candidates to be lazy.
