Commercial Project: Production Blog Post #7 - Rough Cut, Feedback, Edit Decisions

Rough Cut:

The Rough cut had many errors, such as no music. I did not add music until later. The shots were not cut faster, basically, the scene ran for much longer than it should. Lastly, it was exceeding the maximum time of sixty seconds by a whole minute and thirty seconds.


Feedback:

One of the main pieces of feedback I received was that I didn't include any music. Another piece of feedback was the fan that kept appearing in the reflections of the TV, pretty much ruining the shot.


Edit Decisions:

I added two different songs to add music that fit what I was conveying in the commercial. I reshot some of the scenes because of the fan's light. I heavily trimmed the commercial, with it reaching fifty-nine seconds.
